In this area, the three major challenges that the DIM MaTerRE wants to take up are :

• Developing low-carbon cementitious materials

• Make the entire life cycle of primary materials for construction more virtuous through the emergence of new solutions

• Improve the thermal properties of building materials with, among others, phase change materials for thermal regulation, low-emissivity coatings for radiative control, waste heat recovery, or even foamed inorganic materials for insulation
